COLAC REGIONAL SALEYARDS

The Colac Regional Saleyards opened at its current location on the Colac-Ballarat Road in 1979 and is one of
the most significant selling centres in the Western District of Victoria.
The Saleyards has been operating for over 40 years. The Colac Otway Shire has committed to ensuring

the Centre remains at its most competitive. The investment of a roof over all the cattle selling pens and the
implementation of soft flooring provides optimal animal comfort and welfare.
The facility holds prime cattle markets every Thursday at 8.30am, Store sales are held the first Friday of
each month with the premier Birregurra Weaner sale held the first Wednesday in January each year. A Sheep
market is held on the second Thursday of each month, Also two special Dairy heifer sales during the year.
There are opportunities for special dairy and beef sales in the 200-seat undercover selling ring as required.
