ABOUT SOUTHERN LIVESTOCK EXCHANGE
The Southern Livestock Exchange was built in 1989 and was
the first undercover, dirt floor saleyard in Australia, as well as
the first live weight saleyard in South Australia. Since then we
have strived for innovative solutions to make sure our yards are
an efficient market which sets the market price for the area.
Founded by farmers for farmers, Southern Livestock Exchange
understand the workings of the industry from both sides and
have regularly fought for better systems from government
bodies and regulators to make sure smooth transactions for
both sellers and buyers.
As a family business there is a personal touch to the yards
backed by a large team of amazing staff that make sure the
yards are run professionally. It is the best of both worlds
with the large throughput of livestock coupled with a highly
personal approach.
Continuing the innovative approach the weekly market is
also live streamed online to allow for instant bidding from
anywhere in Australia.
