Owned and operated by the District Council of Grant, the Mount Gambier and SALE DAY:
District Saleyards are located 10kms East of the Mount Gambier city centre on
the Princess Highway, Glenburnie in South Australia. The Saleyards are one of Cattle Sales:
the largest livestocks exchange in the Limestone Coast region and has been in Weekly Prime market sales:
operation since June 1977. In the 2022/23 financial year 58,000 head of cattle Wednesdays
and 70,000 head of sheep were sold through the yards. The Saleyards are Store sale second Friday of
both European Union (EU) and National Saleyards Quality Assurance (NSQA) the month
